2025 Impact Initiatives

The CHBF committee, along with the Board of Directors of Yampa Valley Medical Center Foundation and the Board of Trustees of UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center (YVMC), are committed to ensuring the CHBF benefits not only our local communities, but the strategic priorities of YVMC, too. As such, beginning in 2025, impact initiatives have been identified by YVMCF and YVMC leadership that have the potential to leave a lasting, positive mark in communities and across generations in Northwest Colorado.

To kick off 2025, YVMCF is pleased to announce funding towards:

• Increased bicycle safety.
• Better availability of AEDs in our community.
• Healthy Hearts and Minds, a program designed to empower families with education, motivation and inspiration to cultivate lifelong habits of physical health, emotional wellness and heart disease prevention.

Additional impact initiatives and implementation partners will be identified throughout 2025.

2024 Grant Recipients

We are excited to announce that we have awarded $315,000 in grants to 18 programs in the 2024 cycle.  The areas of focus this year were access to health care, mental health, and substance use disorders.  After the completion of the 2024 granting cycle, the Community Health Benefit Fund has invested over $1.5 million dollars into our community.
