2018 PENGUIN PLUNGE BENEFICIARY
This year’s Penguin Plunge proceeds will go toward YVMC’s Emergency and Trauma Services.

FUNDRAISING MINIMUM AND DEADLINE
Fundraising minimum is $150.00 per person. Deadline for the Commitment Form is due March 23rd by 8 a.m.   Go to Firstgiving to create your own giving page!   www.firstgiving.com/hfyv/14th-annual-penguin-plunge

ADVANCE CHECK-IN
We encourage individuals and teams to register on Friday, March 23. Stop by the Yampa Valley Medical Center Foundation, 1100 Central Park Drive between 7 am and 2 pm. Please be sure to bring the following:

Waiver and Release form (mandatory)
Pledge forms and pledges (cash and checks)
Music on IPod, MP3, Phones, or CD labeled with team name

If you chose to check-in on Saturday, you must arrive between 10:00 –10:30 am. Please remember the above documents and pledges must be collected in order to receive the wristband to enter the pool area. Persons under the age of 18 are prohibited from jumping in the pool. This will be strictly enforced.

We will continue accepting donations throughout the day of the Plunge, however, 11:00 am is the cut-off for donations toward an individual or team to be included in the prize calcuations.

EVENT DAY DETAILS
Catamount Lake House Grille will open at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 24. Participants who have not pre-registered must arrive between 10:00-10:30 am and provide all required signed forms and collected funds. Those who checked-in on Friday, March 23, need to arrive at Catamount Lake House Grille no later than 11:00 am and proceed to the downstairs reception area. At that time, you will receive a lunch ticket, participant logo t-shirt and required wristband to enter the pool area to prepare for plunging at noon. Towels will not be provided.

MUSIC
Please select your music which is no more than 2 minutes in length. Provide one of the following as a means for your performance:

• CD with only one song and labeled with your team’s name (preferred)
• Email your music file to Lisa.joens@uchealth.org. If a mobile device is used, a person with knowledge of passcode and music selection must be present (non-participant) with the device during performance.

This will avoid any confusion for the DJ and provide a smooth and timely transition to the next team performing. The music be must be provided to Lisa Joens no later than Friday, March 23, at the Yampa Valley Medical Center Foundation between the hours of 7 am and 2 pm.

FOOD AND DRINK
Each participant will receive one lunch ticket at check-in. Cash bar will open at 10:00 am. Spectators may purchase a lunch ticket for $15. Lunch includes chili and cornbread.

EVENT DAY RECOMMENDATIONS

     1. Invite family and friends supporting you.Come wearing your costumes as there are limited changing areas.
      2. Wear tennis or water shoes—the ground is cold. Bring a plastic bag for wet clothes—and a change of dry                                  clothes.

GO ALPINE
Go Alpine has graciously donated roundtrip shuttle service from Alpine Bank to Lake Catamount. The first pick up is 10:30 a.m. The driver will loop back and forth between Alpine Bank and Lake Catamount with the last shuttle departing from Lake Catamount at 2:30 p.m. Parking is available at Alpine Bank as well as a nearby bus stop.

Drive south on route 131
Turn left on County Road 18
Turn left into the parking lot at the 2nd Water’s Edge Trail sign
Look for Penguin Plunge signs
